Nails and Hammers
August 18, 2007
Music is all about the combination of notes, what one can create with those eight notes. When one thinks of music, one thinks of Zeppelin, Tchaikovsky, Dylan, etc. An in a certain way they are right to think that, because it is what’s on the radio, parties and concerts. The thing is that some noises that we ignore may also be considered music. Let aside instruments, let aside stomp and monk chants, and when you wake up and hear that disturbing hammering, stop and listen to the beauty of its sounds. Hammer against nails, what a beautiful noise. Yes indeed it is a disturbing sound, but instead of condemning those endless hammerings, just consider that it could also be Tchaikovsky or Dylan, do not question it, just enjoy the beauty of that horrible sound.
