The Puzzle

It was then that we found the great puzzle. Never before had we seen something so confusing and unbelievable. For years we stayed inn and tried to solve it. Ten years passed and the engineer was the first to go. Five years later, the doctor went. Two years passed and the soldier retired.
In the end, it was only me, no one else to solve the puzzle with. There I stood in eternity waiting, searching, pondering something that until the last days I realized it was not worth it. And it was that day that I went away.
